(Radio.com) In Radio.com's recent interview with Cole Swindell, the singer/songwriter dropped a little bit of info about his next single, which will give an early taste of his next album.

"'You Should Be Here,' [is] a song I wrote last year when I was on tour, I wrote it outside of a football stadium, believe it or not. Just thinking about I lost my dad two years ago in a freak accident, and when Ashley Gorley, one of my favorite writers, brought up this title, he had to have known that's what I wanted to write."

"I thought about my dad," he continues. "Just all the things that I get to do. It ain't even for the folks that maybe haven't lost somebody, maybe you just miss somebody. Maybe you have family in another state, or there's those moments in life that we all get to share, and it's like if that one person was here, man, they'd freak out, they would love it."

"And I think that's why this song means so much: it's personal. But I got into country music to record and write songs that mean something to people, and I think having this first album and four hit songs, I think that's allowed me to say what I wanna say. At this point in my life I get to do a lot of special things."

"And that's what I think everybody's gonna be able to relate to [the song], it's just a real song about life. So I'm really excited about it." Read more here.
