(Radio.com) J. Cole has partnered with HBO to air a 90 minute concert film on Jan. 9. But that's not all the artist has in store for fans. Leading up to that concert, J. Cole filmed four other episodes as part of a five part mini-documentary called the Road to Homecoming. "To keep it real, I am just as excited about the first 4 episodes as I am about the Homecoming film," he wrote in a prepared statement.

Documenting "important moments" from the past year as well as the "album rollout process," the mini-doc provides unique insight into the self-described private artist. "One thing I know about myself," he wrote, "is that I don't like to give too much of me outside the music."

The preceding four episodes will air every Wednesday leading up to the Jan. 9 concert debut, but you can also find the episodes on Vimeo. The first 30-minute episode launched Wed. (Dec. 16) with following episodes to arrive on Dec. 23, Dec. 30 and Jan. 6. Watch the first episode here.
