Thom Yorke Compares YouTube To Nazis (Top Story)

On Tuesday Thom Yorke Compares YouTube To Nazis was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Radiohead leader Thom Yorke isn't a fan of sites that stream either music or video content. He's gone on record countless times slamming Spotify and similar services. In a recent interview with an Italian publication La Repubblica, Yorke took aim at YouTube, voicing his disdain for the site in a rather unusual way. He compared it to Nazi Germany, in that they steal art.

Yorke's comments were brought on by a seemingly innocent question asking how he discovers new music. "Mostly with Boomkat I certainly don't use YouTube," Thom replied.

Yorke then took things a bit far and compared the video streaming service to Nazi Germany. "All I know is that they make money off the work of many artists who do not derive any benefit. Service providers make money: Google, YouTube. A lot of money. 'Oh, sorry, it was yours? Now, it is ours. No, no, we were joking, it is always yours,' They seize it. It's like what the Nazis did in the Second World War. In fact, they all did that during the war, the British too: steal the art from other countries. What's the difference?" Read more - here.
