Drake, Black Keys, Lana Del Rey Lead Governors Ball Lineup
. (Radio.com) Started from the bottom, now the Governors Ball is here with a Canadian rapper, a blues duo, a Mickey Mouse-esque DJ and the gangster Nancy Sinatra leading its fifth year lineup. On Wednesday (Jan. 7) the three-day New York City festival announced its 2015 lineup with acts like Drake, The Black Keys, DeadMau5 and Lana Del Rey heading the charge. Both Deadmau5 and Lana Del Rey are playing their first show in NYC since 2011 and 2012, respectively. The lineup for the fest--taking place on the weekend of June 5 to 7 at Randall's Island Park--will also feature performances from Björk--playing her first show since 2012--Ryan Adams, My Morning Jacket, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Florence + The Machine. This will be Florence Welch and her band's first NYC show since 2012 and basically confirms rumors that she will have an album out sooner rather than later. Other acts on the bill include Charli XCX, Chromeo, The Decemberists, St. Vincent, Tame Impala, Ratatat (playing first NYC show since 2011), The War on Drugs, Flying Lotus, Conor Oberst, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Future Islands, J. Roddy Walston & The Business and Sharon Van Etten. Check out the full lineup here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
