Gregg Allman Wants To Change Direction On Future Album
. (The Blues) Gregg Allman hopes to make a country music record in the future, now he's laid the Allman Brothers Band to rest. But first he's working on a follow-up to 2011 solo release Low Country Blues. Allman tells Tennessean.com: "You can expect a new record from me. I've got about enough for half a record now, but they're really coming fast." Asked to describe the material he says: "I don't know what you'd call it. Everybody seems to want some kind of label put on their music. "It could be a mixture of it all - some songs are folks, some are straight-on blues, some of them are rock'n'roll. It's just good ol' music." But after that he may turn his attention to a project he's wanted to undertake for a while. "I really would love to cut a country record," he reports. Read more here.
