Soundgarden's Chris Cornell Begins Recording New Album
. (hennemusic) Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell reveals he has begun work on a new solo album. He has released four solo albums to date, including "Euphoria Morning" (1999), "Carry On" (2007), "Scream" (2009) and the acoustic live album, "Songbook" (2011), from his tour of the same name. "Day 1 of recording a new solo album and as it happens, learning that I share a name with an alleged jihadist," tweeted the singer, followed by a second note with an image of recording gear, "Back in the studio!" On January 30, Cornell will perform with Mad Season featuring Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and Duff McKagan plus the Seattle Symphony orchestra at a special 'Sonic Evolution' concert at Seattle's Benaroya Hall.
