Ozzy Osbourne Called Out 'People' For Glorifying John Lennon's Killer
. Ozzy Osbourne has always been a massive Beatles fan. But even if he wasn't, as a high profile artist - and one who certainly attracts some crazy fans - he was appalled when People magazine put Mark David Chapman on the cover. He felt that it glorified Chapman, and featured that it could possibly encourage someone else to seek out fame in a similar manner. "I hope they don't turn on the press, because you'll soon change your attitude," he wrote in a well publicized letter to the editor. Yoko Ono was aware of Ozzy's letter, and in return, wrote him a letter thanking him for speaking out. As he says in the interview, "It was totally unexpected… I was chuffed that she sent me a letter." Watch the video here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
