"I already am honored to sing for Heart," she says, "and now I get the opportunity to stretch out on my own and see what it can bring. I am blessed to have these magical opportunities to let my soul sing out."

The live shows - which begin at Solana Beach, California's Belly Up Tavern on September 21 - will reportedly see Wilson deliver a mix of solo material, select cover tunes and a few Heart classics.

"I'm excited to play unusual songs in small places," Ann explains. "I am excited to push my creative and vocal boundaries." She adds, "I love the blues,". "The Ann Wilson Thing gives me an opportunity to rock the blues up close and personal."
