Bruce Springsteen Plays Surprise Concert At A Bar (Week In Review)
. NJ.com reports Grushecky hit the stage at 10:15 p.m. and played three songs before being joined by Springsteen for a mix of covers and tunes by both artists. The rockers launched into a Gruschecky song before performing three Springsteen tunes from 1978's "Darkness On The Edge Of Town", including "Adam Raised A Cain", the title track and "Racing In The Street." Among the other Springsteen tunes featured in the set were "Atlantic City", "Pink Cadillac" and covers of tunes he wrote with Patti Smith ("Because The Night") and for Joan Jett ("Light Of Day"), which the singer dedicated to fans listening outside the club. "People out on the street, this is for you!", shouted Springsteen before launching into the final song of the night.
