(hennemusic) Whitesnake were joined by Glenn Hughes for a pair of Deep Purple classics at the Saban Thatre in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday and videos of both performances has been posted online.

The former Deep Purple members teamed up to deliver "Keep On Moving" and "Lay Down Stay Down" during the show, part of Whitesnake's North American tour in support of "The Purple Album."

The group's 12th release sees frontman David Coverdale re-recording classic songs from the Deep Purple Mark 3 and Mark 4 records he appeared on, including 1974's "Burn" and "Stormbringer" and 1975's "Come Taste The Band."

"The Purple Album" recently debuted on the US charts, opening at No. 6 on the Top Current Hard Music Albums, No. 15 on Top Current Rock Albums, No. 43 on Top Current Albums and No. 84 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts.

Whitesnake's North American tour - which kicked off May 28 in Airway Heights, Washington - runs to mid-August before the group takes a break, after which they'll hit Japan and Europe in the fall. Watch the videos of the Deep Purple jams here.
