One Direction Send Message To Fan Who Lost Her Leg
. Leah Washington had her leg amputated after the Smiler ride at Britain's Alton Towers theme park slammed into an empty car earlier this month. The injury made it impossible for her to attend the boy band's concert in Wales at Cardiff Stadium. A friend of Washington's felt so bad, she decided to get the hashtag #Get1DToLeah trending on Twitter to call for the four-piece to reach out to her friend. And what do you know, it worked. According to the BBC, the guys of One Direction--Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson--filmed a video message for Washington. "Unfortunately because of their schedule they can't visit her in hospital, but they have offered Leah tickets to a forthcoming concert of her choice when she has recovered, and will be delighted to meet her backstage then," the band's rep said.
