Nashville Scene reports Mayor Karl Dean attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the two newest inductees to the Walk of Fame as part of the reopening of the Walk Of Fame Park, a downtown green space overlooked by the Country Music Hall Of Fame, Bridgestone Arena and the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

"I hope I'm too young to get something like this," joked White. "It speaks volumes about Nashville ... that you would accept, for example, what we've done with Third Man Records here in this city, and accept it so well, and nurture it, and help us make something come alive.

"We're so honored to be here every day", he added. White - who produced Lynn's Grammy-winning 2004 comeback album, "Van Lear Rose" - received praise from the country legend. "You already know Jack since he's been here in Nashville for a little while," said Lynn. "He didn't have to be here too long for you to understand that we needed him, really.
