Extreme's Nuno Bettencourt Reacts To Jimmy Fallon's Video Remake (A Top Story)
. The show sent over these excerpts from the Bettencourt interview. On the remake: "It was pretty funny. It was actually a surprise because we didn't know, nobody told us or called us saying 'hey we're doing this video' so I was on the west coast and it came on the east cost first, and I got a few friends calling me saying 'hey, are you watching?' I didn't know what they were talking about. It was confusing and crazy because I had no idea." "It was done in good taste, they weren't making fun of it, I think they were very respectful. I mean, when a guy puts on a wig and paints his nails and acts like you, it's very flattering" On More Than Words hitting #1: "We were in the UK and getting phone calls here and there from family and friends saying that the song was playing a lot on the radio, tv... And we were in Germany when we got a phone call and Billboard said that the song would be a #1 tomorrow. "And it was kind of strange because we weren't seeing it happen. This was before internet days, you know. So it was pretty amazing to find out that in the county that we were always struggling to make anything happen, our song went to number 1, so it's pretty special." Listen to the full episode - here.
