Bob Saget Reacts To 'Fuller House' Rumors (Recap)

On Thursday Bob Saget Reacts To 'Fuller House' Rumors was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Bob Saget set some things straight about Fuller House while on the The Marilu Henner Show, a Play.it podcast. And between revealing the origin of the reboot, reminiscing about the original show and cracking jokes, he was barely able to work in his tips for how your family should binge-watch it.

As for how Fuller House came to be, apparently John Stamos has been championing it for over a decade, but it wasn't until Candace Cameron Bure took the project on with a fury that the ball really got rolling.

"John was for 10 or 15 years going to Warner Bros. and trying to keep it alive. [He was] trying to get a showrunner and see if Jeff Franklin, who is writing this newer incarnation for Netflix, would rejoin," Saget said. "John worked the hardest at it and Candace in the last few years said, 'I want to get this done.' Then they carved out a premise, which is that she is the parent in the house with two people helping her raise her kids, her sister character-wise, Stephanie and the neighbor girl Eddie Haskell. No, Kimmy Gibbler. It's a reverse, a flip on what we did with the show. It's lovely, what they're going to do."

Henner asked how many episodes we should expect to see Saget on, but even he isn't sure. "I know that I'll be walking through the door on the first one," Saget said. "A lot of stuff is up in the air. It's so funny what happened with the media, between Twitter and Instagram, people say things that aren't even accurate. We don't really know all the facts yet…My joke is, I always believe everything I read. I write it down and then I read it. My shopping list I believe."

Henner said she'd recently spoken to Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), who recalled the show fondly. Saget agreed, saying the affection between them all was very real and that the show oddly predicted his own life. Read more - here.
