Bleachers Cover Kanye West's 'Only One' Live In Studio (Recap)

On Friday Bleachers Cover Kanye West's 'Only One' Live In Studio was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Last month, Bleachers--the synth-y rock band fronted by fun.'s Jack Antonoff--covered Kanye West's "Only One" at a show in Boston. Fan footage hit the web, and everyone was briefly very excited imagining what the cover would sound like fully produced in a studio.

Then we forgot about it, because the best dreams never come true. Until now. Transmitter, a live studio series, hosted Bleachers in a recent episode, and they performed a fully-fledged version of the cover.

They've transformed it into a '80s power ballad, with squalls of emotive saxophone and sky-scraping synth chords. Jack Antonoff barely touches his guitar, releasing tense little squiggle of sound over the track. He sounds great--not too far off from Bruce Springsteen, in a very generous approximation.

Antonoff slightly shifts the lyrics, as well--he refers to God as "she," and changes the last verse from "Tell Nori about me" to "Tell them all about me." Check it out - here.
