Bleachers Cover Kanye West's 'Only One' Live In Studio (Recap)
. Then we forgot about it, because the best dreams never come true. Until now. Transmitter, a live studio series, hosted Bleachers in a recent episode, and they performed a fully-fledged version of the cover. They've transformed it into a '80s power ballad, with squalls of emotive saxophone and sky-scraping synth chords. Jack Antonoff barely touches his guitar, releasing tense little squiggle of sound over the track. He sounds great--not too far off from Bruce Springsteen, in a very generous approximation. Antonoff slightly shifts the lyrics, as well--he refers to God as "she," and changes the last verse from "Tell Nori about me" to "Tell them all about me." Check it out - here.
