The Band Perry Excited For Veteran's Day 'Stars and Strings' Concert: The Band Perry News
. Radio.com recently spoke with the group members about the show, and - of course - they said they were looking forward to the event and are proud to perform for our Veterans and their families. Reid Perry said, "Well, for us, it is a big deal to support the troops. And not just the troops, but their families as well. They're overseas fighting, but the families at home are sacrificing a lot as well. They're sacrificing memories and a lot of years that they'll never get back." Kimberly Perry added, "Yeah, it's our way of saying thank you. We're truly honored to be a part of the night. We're so grateful for our troops and their families too." Reid noted that members of their family have also served: "Family members from our grandparents' generation served in World War II. We also have fans who have served, and some of them have told us how our songs have helped them through that." And Kimberly points out that this is far from the first time that they're performing for our troops: "We've also done several USO events which have been hugely rewarding. It's really cool - we did one outside of London on a military base, and it was great to see the American spirit going crazy, even overseas." The stripped down acoustic concert will pay tribute to those who currently serve or have previously served in our armed forces, and their families. Read more - here.
