On Thursday Rapper YG Looks Back At Nearly Fatal Shooting was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) YG (Keenon Daquan Ray Jackson) appears on Fader's newest cover, where he talks about his musical transition from 2009's easy hit "Toot It and Boot It" to the more weighted 2014 single "My N--" off his debut LP with Def Jam, My Krazy Life.

In that time, YG has come a long way, including a near fatal shooting on June 12 that pierced his hip and groin. The incident made things more difficult for the rapper, who had to hire a bodyguard in the aftermath, and found that industry executives began giving him the cold shoulder.

Speaking about the shooting, he says, 'That was some inside type, somebody-was-really-coming-to-get-me type s-. It was like n-as knew where we was at, and they was coming to do what they was supposed to do." Read more - here.
