Bobby Shmurda Denied Bail, to Remain In Custody Until Trial

(Radio.com) Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda was denied bail for a second time on Monday (Oct. 5) and will remain in custody until his drug-dealing and weapons-possession trial next year.

During a hearing on Monday, Judge James Burke set a new trial date of Feb. 22. Shmurda's lawyer asked that 21-year-old the rapper to be released while he awaited the trial, to no avail.

The prosecutor cited Shmurda's alleged ties to Florida and net worth of half a million dollars, according to reports. Judge Burke then denied the bail request. Read more here.
