Iron Maiden Score Their Biggest U.S. Hit With 'The Book Of Souls'

. (hennemusic) Iron Maiden have landed a Top 5 debut on the US album charts with "The Book Of Souls" after the legendary metal band had their best U.S. sales week since Nielsen Music started tracking sales in 1991.

Billboard reports the project opens at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 75,000 copies. The showing equals Iron Maiden's best chart ranking ever - matching the No. 4 placement of 2010's "The Final Frontier."

In their native UK, the Official Charts Company reports the band's first-ever double studio project enters the UK albums chart at No. 1 with opening week sales of just over 60,000. "The Book Of Souls" also debuted at No. 1 on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart. Read more here.
