Rick Ross Speaks Out About Rape Lawsuit
. Ross addressed the matter, acknowledging that he was not actually being accused of rape but named in the suit as a result of the actions of his security guard. "It has been brought to my attention that serious allegations have been made against an independent contractor, who's services I use often," Ross said in a statement to TMZ. "And while I am not directly involved or implicated, as a man and a father, I take this very seriously. I don't believe any woman's safety should be compromised and she should never be forced to do anything outside of her will, regardless of the circumstances." According to TMZ, the lawsuit was filed by a woman who accompanied Ross and his crew to the Cannabis Cup. She claims she became dizzy after drinking a cocktail that was offered her in Ross' van. She said she passed out and woke up in the security guard's hotel and found she had been sexually assaulted, allegedly by the guard. Read more here.
