David Gilmour Scores His Biggest U.S. Hit With 'Rattle That Lock'

(hennemusic) David Gilmour has scored his highest solo U.S. chart position on the Billboard 200 album chart with a No. 5 debut for his new solo album "Rattle That Lock."

The album debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with opening week sales of 71,000 units. The feat sees Gilmour best his No. 6 chart position with his last project, 2006's "On An Island," according to Billboard.

The US news follows word that "Rattle That Lock" entered the UK charts at No. 1 on Friday as well as top spot in Italy, France, Sweden, Norway, Belgium and New Zealand.

The guitarist just premiered a video for "Today", the latest single from the project. Watch the video here.
