Rihanna Snaps Her Own Fader Magazine Cover Photo
. "For a selection of images, and for the first time in The Fader's history, [photographer Renata] Raksha handed Rihanna the shutter release, giving the artist the opportunity to collaborate with the photographer, and snap the second cover of the publication's 100th issue," the release said. Drake is the other cover subject announced for the commemorative issue. The two share honors but have two distinct covers designed to showcase something unique in each personality. "All photos of Rihanna, at this point in her career, have layers of artifice," Naomi Zeichner, editor-in-chief of The FADER says in the release. "We wanted to see what would happen if we were able to pull some of that away." In the accompanying story, writer Mary H.K. Choi reveals that Rihanna only allowed five questions to be emailed for the story. While Choi gives her own backstory on Rihanna and what her life is like these days, fans will have to wait for the complete story-including Rihanna's answers-to be released on stands.
