Aerosmith Have Not Yet Agreed On Farewell Tour Says Joe Perry
. "I'm doing 30 [solo] shows from May until August," Tyler recently told Rolling Stone. "And then in 2017 we go out with Aerosmith. We're probably doing a farewell tour. Look, there's two bands that still have the original members, us and the Stones. I'm grateful for that. Whether we do a farewell tour or go into the studio and do another record, I'm just excited about it." Now, Perry reveals the Boston band have discussed a farewell option in recent years and that he expects they'll revisit future plans when they regroup for a South American tour this fall. "A farewell tour is something we've talked about doing for years, let's say roughly in the last five years," he tells Rolling Stone. "It's just something the band's talked about at various times. At this point, the five of us have never sat down and said, 'It's time to do it.' So 'considering' is an appropriate word for that statement. A farewell tour is definitely not confirmed." "We're talking about some different options at this point," adds Perry. "Whether it's to do some shorter tours like the last couple we've done or go into the studio and knock a few songs out and see how that feels, I'm not sure yet. But right now we're really taking time off from the band and everybody's off doing their own thing." Read more here. hennemusic is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
