Nikki Sixx Looks Ahead To Life After Motley Crue (A Top Story)

On Saturday Nikki Sixx Looks Ahead To Life After Motley Crue was a top rock story. Here is the recap: (Gibson) Motley Crue may have played their last-ever gig, but band co-founder Nikki Sixx is revved for the future. Speaking with Rolling Stone, the veteran bassist says he's excited about his other group, Sixx:A.M.

"Sixx:A.M. gracefully and patiently waited in the wings, while the mother ship, a.k.a. Motley Crue, had touring we had to do," says Sixx. "I've heard Tommy [Lee] say that it's hard to throw yourself 100 percent into a project, when you have to go out on the road to do other projects."

Sixx went on to say he's proud that Motley Crue didn't linger on, as a touring band, longer than they should have. "We ended Motley Crue on our terms, so now we have the time--each guy, individual--to do whatever he wants to do."

He adds: "I've felt that we did the right thing.... I [wish] some of my heroes had called it a day when it was time, instead of dragging around a 50-percent version of what they were, or a quarter." Read more - here.
