Green Day Announce New Single 'Bang Bang'

(Radio.com) It's been four years since Green Day released three studio albums in rapid fire succession: 2012's ĦUno!, ĦDos!, and ĦTre!. Since then, the California quartet have released virtually no new music, besides a surprise Christmas single last December. On Sunday night, Billie Joe Armstrong tweeted an announcement that will send fans into overdrive: A new single called "Bang Bang" will premiere on August 11. No details about the single (or whether it corresponds to an album) are immediately available, but band members have been teasing footage from the studio for months.
