(Radio.com) The Band Perry have released their first single in over a year on Monday (August 1st), after days of teasing fans about their comeback online last week. The song, fittingly titled "Comeback Kid," is a slow ballad that features Kimberly Perry on lead vocals singing about the worst year she's ever had and how she refuses to give up. 'They like to kick you when you're down / They like it better when you're there on the ground / And up 'til now, I've never made a sound / I bet they've never had a broken heart / But they sure know how to beat the hell out of one," she sings at the song's start. 'Comeback Kid' was written by Kimberly, Reid and Neil. Listen to the song in its entirety on YouTube here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
