Scott Weiland's widow Jamie Wachtel Weiland has launched an eBay auction for the engagement ring she received from her late husband. She writes on her Facebook page: "This is the ring Scott gave me when he proposed. Eight months into this new chapter of my life, I need to part with it. I am so sad to see it go but it's a truly gorgeous piece and I would love for it to make someone as happy as it once made me." more

Get Back To Where You Once Belonged: Paul McCartney has signed a worldwide recording agreement with Capitol Records who were the U.S. label for the Beatles. "This is genuinely exciting for me," McCartney said. "Not only was Capitol my first U.S. record label, but the first record I ever bought was Gene Vincent's 'Be-Bop-A-Lula' on the Capitol label."

A new KISS comic book series launch this month with the first issue in a new series inspired by their 1981 album Music From the Elder. The series, titled simply KISS and is being written by Amy Chu (Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman) with art by Kewber Baal (Army of Darkness, Battlestar Galactica). Read more

Ultimate Jam Night, the long-running free weekly music program founded by Quiet Riot's Chuck Wright announced plans to hold a Tribute To Lemmy honoring the famed leader of Motorhead on Tuesday, August 23rd at the Whisky A Go Go. The show will be free. The Tribute To Lemmy precedes the unveiling of a permanent Lemmy statue at the Rainbow Bar and Grill. More details here.

As Cities Burn have announced that they have broken up again and proclaim that the split will be for good this time. They tell fans, "ACB has ended, this time for good. All shows are cancelled and everyone moving on to different things. Sorry to anyone that bought tickets for upcoming dates. We realize it's abrupt and confusing but that's all there is to say right now. Thanks for the support throughout the years. It's been fun."

Evanescence's Amy Lee has announced that she will release her first children's album, entitled "Dream Too Much" on September 30th. She was inspired by her father to make the album for her 2-year-old-son Jack and features guest appearances by several family members, including backing vocals by her siblings, and instrumentals by both her father and uncle. "Dad has always been talking about making some kid songs for Jack to have later in life," Lee tells Rolling Stone via Radio. "[My husband suggested,] 'You guys should just do it, get in the studio together, you've never been in the studio together, you're both musicians." Listen to the title track here.

Fair Warning are revisiting songs from their first three studio albums Fair Warning, Rainmaker and Go!, with their new release entitled "Pimp Your Past", which will be released on October 28th.

Yellowcard have released a video for their new single "The Hurt Is Gone". The track comes from the group's self-titled final album which will be released on September 30th. The band will be promoting the record with a farewell tour. Check out the new video here.
