Amy Winehouse Foundation Opens Women's Recovery Home: Amy Winehouse News

(Radio.com) The Amy Winehouse Foundation has chosen to honor the singer's memory on the fifth anniversary of her death by opening a recovery home. The space will be dedicated to helping women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Located in east London, Amy's Place will feature 12 apartments, but will be able to accommodate 16 women since two apartments offer shared rooms (via The Guardian). Dominic Ruffy, special project director of the Foundation, said, "There are about six women-only rehabs [in London], and beyond that, there's an even greater paucity of women-specific recovery housing beds. There is only one other women-only recovery house in London and it's only a four-bed with a six-month waiting list." Read more - here.
