On Friday Charlie Daniels Announces New Album 'Night Hawks' was a top story. Here is the recap: Country music legend Charlie Daniels has announced that he will be releasing his cowboy songs focused new studio album, entitled "Night Hawk," on August 26th. Daniels had the following to say about the new effort, "Most of our concepts about cowboys, and all things western, are mostly derived from movies and TV. Well, the truth of the matter is, the real cowboys are not glow in the dark characters who go around fighting rustlers and cleaning out saloons with their fists. "The actual working cowboy is a hard working, different breed who spend endless hours in the saddle and as Louis L'Amour said, they 'ride for the brand.' Night Hawk is a tribute to the working cowboy and his way of life. Charlie is currently on a tour across American and has dates scheduled until December. He will also be hosting a special 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam in Nashville on November 30th that will include Larry the Cable Guy, Kid Rock, Chris Stapleton, Travis Tritt and more. - See the tour dates and the new album tracklisting here.
