The Smiths Previously Unreleased Songs To Be Released
.
(Radio.com) If Johnny Marr's revelation that a 2008 Smiths reunion almost happened got you down, the band is back with a bit of holiday cheer. A new two-sided vinyl single will feature never-before-released music including a demo of "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side." The release will also feature an unreleased edit of 'Rubber Ring." The two songs were written and recorded during the band's The Queen is Dead album. "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side" was released on that album, and when it was released as a single, "Rubber Ring" was the B-side. These 2016 additions from the vault will lend depth and context to the final edits fans enjoyed in 1985. Morrissey even contributed artwork for the single's cover. Read more here.
