Eagles, Jackson Browne To Tribute Glen Frey At Grammy Awards
. Browne, Eagles co-founders Don Henley and Leadon will team with Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit for the one-time-only special tribute to Frey, who passed away January 18 at the age of 67 from a combination of rheumatoid arthritis, colitis and pneumonia. "Glenn Frey's untimely passing was a huge loss for the entire creative community," says President/CEO of The Recording Academy Neil Portnow. "For more than 45 years, the Eagles have played a significant role in shaping our musical landscape. We are honored to welcome the band, along with Jackson Browne, to the Grammy stage in tribute to Glenn's tremendous legacy." Frey sang lead vocals on Eagles classics like "Take It Easy", "Peaceful Easy Feeling", "Tequila Sunrise", "Already Gone", "Lyin' Eyes", "New Kid in Town", and "Heartache Tonight."
