Akon Releases New Track 'Hypnotized' (Top Story)

. On Monday Akon Releases New Track 'Hypnotized' was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Even though Akon teased in early 2015 that he would soon be releasing a five-part concept album, Stadium, that project has yet to see the light of day (via Billboard). Still, the singer continues slowly releasing new music, though whether or not those tracks will appear on a future album remains to be seen.

Late last week (Jan. 29), Akon released a new track, "Hypnotized," which follows in the footsteps of his other newer releases "Want Some" and "Stick Around."

"Hypnotized" has a definite tropical feel that blends traces of reggae, cumbia and electronica to form something well suited to summer. On the chorus, Akon plays with the cadence to mirror the song's rhythm. "Why you gotta feel so right/ Why you gotta, why you gotta, leave me open, why/ Love it when you love me right/ Why you gotta, why you gotta, take over my mind/ Every time," he sings, drawing out the last syllable.
