Chris Stapleton And Kings Of Leon Rock Lynyrd Skynyrd Classic
. After performing earlier in the night, Stapleton came back on stage to help close the show. He joined Kings of Leon towards the tail end of their set to cover Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man." While KOL's singer Caleb Followill took on vocal duties for the song's first verse, Stapleton oversaw the second, lending the lyrics his trademark howl and growl. The audience couldn't get enough, responding in kind with excited cheers. Throw in a rip-roaring guitar solo from Matthew Followill and 2016 sounded like it got off to a killer start.
