Guns N' Roses have been confirmed to headline the 2016 edition of the Coachella festival and both original lead guitarist Slash and original bass player Duff McKagan posted images online confirming their involvement.

The original members posted images on social media featuring the classic two-guns wrapped in roses Guns N' Roses logo over a backdrop of the festival site with "Coachella" written in the bottom corner.

Slash posted his image to his Instagram account and McKagan added the photo to his Facebook page. The same image was added to Guns N' Roses' social media accounts. McKagan also added the classic GN'R logo as his profile picture on Facebook.

Organizers of the festival, which will be taking place over two weekends (April 15th, 16th, 17th and 22nd, 23rd, 24th) at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, announced the lineup on Monday. We will have more details in Tuesday's Day in Rock.
