Boyz II Men Added To 'Grease: Live' Lineup

(Radio.com) FOX will be following in NBC's live musical theater footsteps when it debuts Grease: Live on Jan. 31. In addition to big names like Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens and Carly Rae Jepsen, Boyz II Men announced Wednesday (Jan. 6) that they'll be participating in the broadcast.

Rather than have one Teen Angel, a role originally performed by teen crooner Frankie Avalon, the three remaining members of Boyz II Men will perform the role as a trio, singing "Beauty School Dropout." On their Twitter account today, the group announced, "We're so excited to announce we're joining Grease: Live."

The tweet also included a video of members Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman singing a brief a cappella version of "Grease is the Word." It sounded angelic, naturally.
