I remember it was late autumn. Larry Nacht and I had gotten together in New York to write. We already had "Rebound," as well as bits and pieces of other songs. We were still looking for that one song that kind of encapsulates all the others. Brings them all together, with one overriding theme.

At some point I went back to LA, and we were on the phone. Larry says "listen to this." I hear a little guitar riff and then "will you still haunt me…" And that was that. I mean, come on! "Will you still torture me so gorgeously…" If that isn't love, I don't know what is.
