(Radio.com) Since news broke this week of the Eagles guitarist/singer Glenn Frey's death, country artists have been sharing their memories of the legend and stories of how he inspired their careers.

"So deeply saddened tonight to hear of Glenn Frey's passing. Way too young…. Blessings to all of his family and the Eagles!" Keith Urban wrote on his Facebook page, including a video of him singing "Take it Easy."

Travis Tritt chatted with Rolling Stone Country about what he learned from Frey. "Here's a guy that was one of the biggest rock stars of our generation that was never, ever too big of a star in his own mind to stop and talk and encourage and acknowledge anybody, regardless of their stature in the business," Tritt said. "He didn't have to do that and that's a great lesson not only for me, but anybody in this business: to never get above your raising."

Other stars took their social media accounts to share their thoughts. Read about those and watch the video here.
