. In the forthcoming film, Turn It Up!, Slash offers new details, explaining that when he first saw the instrument pictured on the interior of Aerosmith's 1978 album, Live! Bootleg, he thought it was the coolest guitar he had ever seen. "This was during my 'discovering Les Pauls' period," he says. Perry sold the guitar, but years later, when the opportunity arose, Slash bought the legendary instrument-for $8,000-and eventually he returned it to Perry. Read more here.
