Compton Mayor Aja Brown took to Twitter Thursday (Jan. 14) to announce the news writing, "you inspire millions and rep Compton with honor!" She added that she is "excited" to give the 28-year-old the key to the city.

The California MC tweeted back to Mayor Brown, "I appreciate that. HUBLUV."
