Of Mice & Men's Austin Carlile Reveals 'Pain' Inspiration

(TeamRock Radio) Of Mice & Men's Austin Carlile says he wrote the band's latest song Pain because the emotion has defined a "big part" of his life. The band recently issued a video for the track, which is lifted from their upcoming fourth album Cold World. The vocalist tells Alt Press: "It talks about my personal journey of the last few years and how I relate that to the current state of the world that we live in now. People face pain every day, whether it be physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, metaphysically, metaphorically - everything. "It's something we wanted to touch on because it's been such a big part of my life and pain in general has been something I have been living and breathing for the past 12, 15 years." Carlile also says he's looking forward to Of Mice & Men's tour with Slipknot and Marilyn Manson later this summer. He also reveals their upcoming record will include songs that only employ clean vocals. Read more here. TeamRock Radio is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
