AC/DC With Axl Rose The 'Best Thing That Can Happen To Both Bands'

AC/DC fronted by Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose has won over KISS bassist/singer Gene Simmons who enthusiastically endorsed the pairing in a recent interview. Simmons says that Rose joining the legendary Australian rockers to take over for longtime frontman Brian Johnson, is the "best thing that can happen to both bands." The KISS star made the comments during an interview with 105.7 The Eagle, telling the Montana radio station "I think it's great. I think Axl being with AC/DC - best thing that can happen to both bands. "I don't know how long it's gonna last, but I hear the shows have been great, and I hear both Axl and AC/DC have been getting along fairly decently, he said. Simmons then added, "In fact, KISS took out AC/DC on their first tour. The bands we've given first tour have included AC/DC, Rush, Cheap Trick, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden… I mean, the list is long." Brian Johnson was forced the pull out of AC/DC's Rock or Bust World tour after being advised by doctors that he faced permanent hearing loss if he continued with the trek. The full interview can be streamed here.
