Singled Out: Chief Ghoul's Let Me In
.
Blues rocker Lee Miles, a.k.a. Chief Ghoul, tells us about his brand new single "Let Me In", which will be featured on the forthcoming new album "Damned" (out this summer). Here is the story: "Most of the people we meet throughout our lives come and go. Most of the time you'll never give it a second thought and you'll continue as you were prior to having met those people. If you're lucky though, there will be that rare person who sparks something in you that you never knew was there in the first place. That's what "Let Me In" is about. It could be a friend, a lover, someone you can learn from or someone who can learn from you... It may be all of those things but you'll definitely know when you've found it, and to let that go or take it for granted is a very foolish thing to do. A vampire can't enter your home without being invited in. I've always loved that particular piece of lore. It's the same idea with people. We have to allow someone into our lives. We aren't going to share our ideas, regrets, flaws, or passions with just anyone, they have to be invited in. I like to write songs so that they're approachable by anyone. We've all experienced love, hate, and everything in between. Love is what spurred the writing of this song for me. "She threw me overboard then sabotaged our boat. She drug me out to sea, I didn't even try to float. Took a beating on the reef, then let all my blood flow. Yet she's exactly what I need, so in her love away I stowed." It's not always a fun ride, but its always worth it when you find the right person." Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself here and learn more about the album right here!
