Adele Helps Woman Propose To Her Boyfriend Onstage

. (Radio.com) If you're unaware of the old Irish folk tradition, February 29th marks the day of the year (for the years that have a leap day) that allows women to propose marriage. If a man refuses the woman's proposal, he has to pay her in the form of money or a gift.

As with most folklore, the details of the legend varies depending on who is telling the story, but in an extremely outdated nutshell, it's the one day of the year that women can propose to men.

According to Just Jared, Adele started chatting with the crowd at the SSE Arena in Belfast, North Ireland after the third song in her set, which is when she invited a lucky fan to propose to her boyfriend onstage. Read more here.
