Rolling Stones Star Fighting Cancer

(hennemusic) Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, according to a statement released by his representatives via his social media pages.

His reps write, "Bill has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is undergoing treatment and is expected to make a full recovery as it was caught in the early stages The Wyman family has asked for their privacy during this time. No further comment will be made at this point."

Wyman replaced Dick Taylor in the Stones in 1962 - just six months after they played their first show - and was a member of the group until his 1993 departure following the "Steel Wheels" tour; Darryl Jones has handled bass duties ever since. Read more here.
