Bruce Springsteen Adds Stadium Dates To Summer Tour
.
(hennemusic) Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced that they have extended their 2016 live schedule with a newly-announced series of US stadium shows this summer. The New Jersey rocker will play eight shows in the run beginning August 23 with a two-night stand at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey before hitting Chicago, Washington, Virginia Beach, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, wrapping things up at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA on September 14. Tickets go on sale for the Virginia Beach and Washington D.C. shows May 13 at 10 a.m.; Chicago on sale May 14 at 10 a.m.; East Rutherford, NJ, May 18, 10 a.m.; Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Foxborough on May 20 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. This past spring, Springsteen performed across the continent in support of last December's release of "The Ties That Bind: The River Collection", a 7-disc collection of material from the sessions for 1980's double album "The River." While the spring concerts featured full performances of the 1980 record in its entirety, Springsteen and company head to Europe for shows starting May 14 that will see the band return to a more wide open setlist - with the same plans for the US dates later this summer. See the dates here. hennemusic is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
