Q-Tip Shows Off His 9,000 Piece Record Collection In New Video

(Radio.com) With all the hype surrounding the release of A Tribe Called Quest's new album We got it from Here and Thank You 4 Your Service, CBS This Morning's Gale King headed down to Q-Tip's home studio for a tour of his rather extensive record collection. Inside his New Jersey home, the group's founding member boasts over 9,000 vinyl records, all meticulously categorized. From African to Latin, Hip-Hop and Jazz to Disco, Q-Tip has almost every genre covered including rock and a handful of country. The two stop for a moment to pull out some Beatles rarities before King asks him to DJ one of her parties. The two then change rooms for a tour of his studio, which boasts a mixing console used during the recording of The Ramones first two albums as well as Blondie's self-titled debut album.
