Bowie, Prince, Nirvana Classics Lead Additions To Grammy Hall of Fame
.
While the Grammy awards are not really thought of as a major force in rock, the genre is represented in some of the recognizable songs that will be added to the Grammy Hall Of Fame. David Bowie's "Changes," Deep Purple's "Smoke On Water," Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," and Prince's "Sing 'O' The Times" lead the list of 25 songs set to be added to Grammy Hall Of Fame. Other songs being added this year include Merle Haggard's "Okie From Muskogee," the Beach Boys' "I Get Around," Rod Stewart's "Maggie May," Blind Willie McTell's "Statesboro Blues," Dion's "The Wanderer," The Everly Brothers' "Wake Up Little Susie" and Elvis Presley's "Jail House Rock".
