Pearl Jam is set to release their next installment of official bootlegs early in the New Year. A total of 47 new CD’s will be released with the first two installments, which include recordings from the first leg of the band’s 2000 North American tour.
Members of the Pearl Jam Ten Club will get first crack at the new CD’s via the tenclub.net website and will also receive a $6 discount. The CD’s carry a suggested retail price of $16.98 but Ten Club Members will be able to purchase copies for $10.98 via the fan club web site.
The first 23 bootlegs will be released to the fan club members on Jan 30th through the Tenclub.net web site and will be in retail stores for the general public on Feb 27th. The same day the first batch of bootlegs hit the stores, the remaining 24 CD’s will be made available to the fan club members with a retail release date set for March 27th.
Pearl Jam is releasing these official bootlegs
because their fans have been paying lots of money for poor quality recordings
on the black market. All of the official bootleg recordings were taken
directly from the soundboards and will offer the listener a far superior
recording than the average black market bootleg.
