Tool fans will get their first taste of the band�s new material on May 1st, that�s when the band will begin streaming, �Schism�, the first single from their forthcoming album Lateralus from their website � Toolband.com. 

The single will go to radio the following week and the band is currently in Los Angeles filming the accompanying video. The video is being written and directed by guitarist Adam Jones who has also direct the band�s previous videos for "Aenima," "Stinkfist," and "Prison Sex." 

The new album �Lateralus� will hit stores on May 15th.  The band will also be playing three North American dates to mark the release. Those dates are as follows, Chicago May 17th, Detroit May 18th, and New York May 20th. After that they will head over to Europe for a series of headlining and festival appearances with Cortizone supporting.
