Stabbing Westward will make their final appearance on the Beyond Good and Evil Tour this Sat in Philadelphia (July 7th) according to their label publicist. They have been forced to pull off the tour because drummer Andy Kubiszewski has to undergo minor surgery. The surgery was initially planned for after the tour, however the bands publicist said developments in his condition is making this procedure somewhat immediate.
There is some confusion as to when they will leave the tour. According to the bands official website they already preformed their last date on the tour in Minneapolis on July 1st, but a statement issued by their record label, Koch Records, says that their last performance will take place this Saturday, July 7th.
The band issued the following statement on their website.
The band will be parting ways with The Cult and Monster Magnet after the Minneapolis, MN date on July 1st. Drummer Andrew Kubiszweski will need to undergo a minor surgical procedure that will keep the band off the road for a few weeks. If you purchased a ticket for any of The Cult shows in hopes of seeing Stabbing Westward, you may contact your original place of purchase and mention the cancellation of Stabbing Westward to obtain a refund. Please rest assured that the band will return to the road soon. More information to follow as it is announced.
P.S. Please note that if Ticketmaster denies you a refund, please try again as this has been set-up to accommodate Stabbing Westward's fans. Thank you for your patience.
